1991

THE FIRST YEAR

Seven people working in the connectivity sector decide to form a team for the production of assembled cables. Great things often arise from simple circumstances. The important thing is the determination and passion that goes into it.

1994

SHINING CABLES

Proel receives a real ovation from the market for having designed something innovative: a series of assembled cables “made in Italy” with 6.3 mm gold-plated connectors and bodies in a special rubber compound. Password: “differentiate” to offer uniqueness and get noticed.

HEADQUARTER:
A NEW BEGINNING

In 1997 Proel was already a structured company and decided on a fundamental NEW step: to create a Research, Design and Prototyping department in the Sound Reinforcement sector. All Made in Italy. When you have the courage to believe in your dreams, things happen.

1998

FEEL THE BEAT

In 1998 the rhythm and energy of percussion arrived in the company. Proel Spa acquires Tamburo Drums, the historic brand of the talented master Tullio Granatello and starts a production with a strong identity, 100% Made in Italy. 
The craftmanship thus meets the driving force of a large company, transforming the intuitions of the master into revolutionary products.

2003

A NEW STRATEGY...

In 2003, the strategy conceived by the founder began to be outlined: to push the company to meet the needs of the entire sector: from instruments to musical accessories, to professional audio and lighting products, in the musical instruments, rental and installation channels.

…AND A NEW ACQUISITION

Also in 2003 Proel accepted the challenge of entering the professional lighting sector by acquiring the historic Sagitter brand, founded in 1992 and distinguished on the international market for its innovative products. A brilliantly won challenge.

2007

MORE AND MORE INTERNATIONAL

In 2007 Proel Group opens up even more to the global market by acquiring Turbosound Ltd, an English leader in Sound Reinforcement and linked to bands and artists of international calibre such as Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Dire Straits, Robbie Williams, etc. Because music generates empathy and it’s nice to amplify the emotions!

2012

OUR HIGH TECHNOLOGY SPEAKERS ARE BORN

In 2012 the NEOS AXS professional loudspeakers are presented on the market, the highest technological expression applied to loudspeakers. There are two exclusive NEOS AXS innovations: the proprietary “Core” DSP with 96 kHz sampling frequency and 40 bit resolution and the Pronet remote control software.

2015

THE NEW DEAL

With a long negotiation, the Proel group acquires Roland Europe and its Italian factories: approximately 25,000 square meters of space between headquarters, R&D and production. It also hires 25 former Roland employees – top figures in R&D and the production area – to create Dexibell, a new brand of digital pianos. An authentic revolution in the sector, under the banner of MADE, MADE, MADE IN ITALY. Thus was born VIVO, a digital piano with exclusive T2L (True to Life) technology for maximum sound accuracy and sound quality 256 times higher than the instruments on the market.

2018

A MAIN “COLUMN” FOR LIVE SHOWS

2018 is the year of the launch of the Axiom system with column speaker. A system that made us very proud because we were among the first in the world to design them for professional use in concerts and live events.

30 years of activity. An important milestone, achieved in a difficult period for the whole world. But music and entertainment cannot be stopped. 2021 photographs us like this, with a new energy and a “battle” set-up. Today we are proud to present ourselves as a strategic network of R&D, integrated logistics, production and direct distribution at 360 degrees, in the reference channels. With a market presence in over 100 countries around the world and leading brands in the sound, lighting, musical instruments, commercial audio and pro-stage sectors. We are ready for the challenges of the future, armed with dedication, a passion for beauty, a taste for technology… And the – inextinguishable – desire to look far.
