Cookie Policy
Last updated 30 July 2026 (policy version 1).
1. What this covers
This website, proelworld.com, uses storage on your device for two things only: making the site work, and — if you allow it — counting visits. There is no advertising, no profiling, no social-media widget and no embedded third-party content that watches you. This document says exactly what is stored, by whom, for how long, and how to change your mind.
The data controller is Proel S.p.A., Via alla Ruenia 37/43, 64027 Sant'Omero (TE), Italy. Our full Privacy Policy explains the rest of what we do with personal data.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website places in your browser. On a later visit the site can read it back. Websites can also store information in your browser's local storage, which works similarly and is covered by the same rules — this site uses local storage for one thing, and it is listed below like everything else.
3. Technical cookies and storage
These are strictly necessary to deliver the site and to remember the choice you make about the analytics in the next section. Because they are essential, they do not require your prior consent, and they are set whichever way you answer. They are not used to profile you, to track you across other websites, or for advertising.
4. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 — provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland — to count visits and see which pages are read. We use it to improve the site, not to identify you.
Nothing is loaded until you agree. Until you consent, no Google script is downloaded, no analytics cookie is set, and no data — including your IP address — is sent to Google. If you refuse, or simply close the banner, that refusal is recorded and no request is ever made. This is not a promise about intent: it is how the site is built, and it is verified by an automated test on every change.
Google acts as our processor under a data processing agreement and may not use the data for its own purposes. Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States; those transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where it does not apply, on Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not use Google Signals, advertising features or cross-device tracking. Google's own account of this processing is in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Everything stored on your device
- proel-consent — this website, local storage, 6 months
- Remembers the choice you made, so you are not asked again on every page. Holds no identifier: only your choice, the date, and the version of this policy. Strictly necessary; set whichever way you answer.
- _ga — Google, cookie, up to 2 years
- Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted rather than page loads. Set only after you consent.
- _ga_ZJDBHJDG24 — Google, cookie, up to 2 years
- Keeps track of the current session for the same purpose. Set only after you consent.
That is the complete list. If it ever grows, this policy changes with it and you will be asked again.
6. Changing your mind
You can review or withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it: use the Cookie preferences link, which is in the footer of every page. The panel shows what you currently allow, and the date and policy version your choice was recorded under. If you withdraw, the analytics cookies are deleted and no further data is sent.
Your choice is stored in your own browser and nowhere else — we keep no register of consents. Clearing your browsing data, using a different browser or a private window, or visiting from another device will therefore bring the banner back. Some browsers, Safari in particular, also delete this kind of storage automatically after a period of inactivity, with the same effect. In those cases we have no way of knowing you already answered, so we ask again.
7. Newsletter and contact form (Brevo)
This website lets you subscribe to our newsletter and contact us through a form provided by Brevo (Brevo SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France), which processes on our behalf the data you voluntarily submit — such as your name and email address — to send you the newsletter or reply to your enquiry.
The form is loaded only when you open it, at your explicit request, and not when you open the page. Before submitting it you are asked to tick a box accepting the applicable terms. It is used solely to collect and transmit what you provide; it installs no profiling or advertising cookies. See the Brevo Privacy Policy for how Brevo handles data, and our Privacy Policy for how long we keep what you send.
8. Your browser's own controls
Independently of the choice you make here, your browser can delete cookies already stored, block new ones, or warn you each time one is offered. Its help pages explain how. Note that blocking the technical storage in section 3 may stop parts of this website working properly.
9. Your rights, and complaints
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw a consent you have given. Section 8 of our Privacy Policy explains how to exercise them. You may also lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian supervisory authority.
