Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 July 2026.
This statement explains what happens to personal data when you use proelworld.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived: the site is a company presentation with no accounts, no shop and no login, so there is very little of it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Proel S.p.A., Via alla Ruenia 37/43, 64027 Sant'Omero (TE), Italy — VAT IT00778590679.
For any question about this statement, or to exercise any of the rights in section 8, write to [email protected] or call +39 0861 81241.
2. What we collect, why, and on what legal basis
There are only three ways this website processes personal data.
- Making the site work
- Strictly necessary technical storage, including the record of the cookie choice you make. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in delivering a working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); under the ePrivacy rules this storage is exempt from consent because it is strictly necessary.
- Understanding how the site is used
- Google Analytics 4 statistics — visit counts and which pages are read. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), asked for before anything is loaded and withdrawable at any time. See section 3.
- Answering you
- The name, email address and message you type into our contact or newsletter form. Legal basis: your consent for the newsletter, and for an enquiry our legitimate interest in replying to someone who has written to us, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(a), (f) and (b) GDPR). See section 4.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, special categories of data — health, beliefs, political opinions and the like. Please do not send them through the contact form.
3. Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to produce aggregate statistics about how this website is used.
Nothing is loaded until you agree. Before you answer the cookie banner, no Google script is downloaded, no cookie is set and no data — including your IP address — reaches Google. If you refuse, or close the banner, nothing is collected at all. You can change your answer whenever you like through the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page.
Google acts as our data processor under a data processing agreement and may not use this data for its own purposes or for any other Google service. Google Analytics 4 does not record IP addresses: the address of your connection is used to derive an approximate location and is then discarded, rather than stored or included in our reports. We do not use Google Signals, advertising features, remarketing audiences or cross-device tracking, and we do not link this website's statistics to any advertising account.
Google's own description of how it handles this data is in the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Contact form and newsletter (Brevo)
Our contact and newsletter forms are provided by Brevo (Brevo SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France), which processes the data you submit on our behalf, as our data processor. The form is loaded only when you open it, at your explicit request — not when you open the page.
We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, or to send you the newsletter you asked for. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate and free.
5. Who else sees your data
Only the two processors named above — Google for statistics, Brevo for forms — each bound by a contract that limits them to acting on our instructions. Beyond them, we disclose personal data only where the law requires it: a court order, a lawful request from an authority, or an investigation related to public safety. If PROEL is sold or merged, data may pass to our advisers and to the acquirer, who would be bound by this statement until they tell you otherwise.
6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Analytics data may be transferred to Google outside the EEA, including to the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where it does not apply, on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards in place by writing to the address in section 1.
7. How long we keep it
- Your cookie choice
- 6 months, stored in your own browser and nowhere else. See the Cookie Policy.
- Analytics cookies
- Up to 2 years in your browser. The statistics themselves are held by Google for the retention period configured on our property; for the event data this site sends, 14 months is the maximum available, after which Google deletes it automatically.
- Contact enquiries
- For as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can follow up on a conversation you started.
- Newsletter subscriptions
- Until you unsubscribe, plus the short period we need to record that you did so and not contact you again by mistake.
8. Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR you may ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold data about you, and give you a copy (access);
- correct or complete anything inaccurate (rectification);
- delete it (erasure);
- pause our use of it while a dispute is resolved (restriction);
- hand it over in a portable, machine-readable form (portability);
- stop processing it where we rely on legitimate interest (objection).
Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing must be as easy as giving it — for analytics, that is one click on Cookie preferences. Withdrawing does not affect processing that already, lawfully, took place.
Write to [email protected]. We answer within one month. Please make it clear who you are, so we do not disclose or delete the wrong person's data.
9. Automated decision-making
There is none. This website makes no automated decisions about you and does not profile you, here or through any of the services described above.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or your request, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority — the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — or with the authority of the EU country where you live or work.
11. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access, we require the same of the processors who handle it for us, and we review those measures periodically. This website itself is served over HTTPS only.
12. Other websites
This statement covers only proelworld.com. Links from this site to our brands' websites, to our B2B portal or to social media lead to services with their own privacy statements, which we do not control. Please read theirs before using them.
13. Changes to this statement
We may update this statement. The date at the top always says when it last changed, and where a change materially affects a processing that relies on your consent, we will ask you again rather than assume the old answer still stands.
